BMS hires Shire's Ann Powell Judge to head human resources

Ann Powell Judge has left Shire Pharmaceuticals to join Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) as senior VP, human resources.

Judge was most recently chief human resources officer at Shire, and will take on her new role in March, 2013 when she will also become a member of the senior management team.

She has a wealth of experience in human resources in pharma, having also served as corporate VP, human resources for the pharmaceutical division at Wyeth prior to her time at Shire.

Also at Wyeth, Judge held positions of responsibility for human resources in the commercial organisation and in the global manufacturing unit.

This was after 13 years at the Dow Chemical Company, where she held several senior roles in human resources.

“Ann brings more than 20 years of broad international human resources experience across multiple industries that will be important to my management team and to our company as we continue to execute our biopharma strategy,” said Lamberto Andreotti, CEO of BMS.

“Her leadership abilities and practical business focus will help ensure we have the right human resource development and organisational effectiveness strategy as we continue to build a strong foundation for future growth.”
