What are the Communiqué Awards?

The Communiqué Awards recognise, reward and commend excellence and best practice in healthcare communications.

Who can enter?

Entries for the Communiqué Awards may be submitted for any UK, European or international activity or programme. Entries are accepted from:

  • PR consultancy
  • Medical education/communications agency
  • Integrated/networked communications agency
  • Digital communications agency
  • Pharmaceutical company in-house PR, corporate affairs, medical education, communications or marketing department
  • OTC or consumer health company
  • Device manufacturers
  • NHS or healthcare provider department or body
  • Outside contractor or non-PR professional acting on behalf of (and with the full authorisation of) the client company
  • Patient or professional association
  • Charity
  • Government agency or department
  • Non-governmental organisation

When is the entry deadline?

Closing date for entry is Thursday 8 March 2018*

  • Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form, which must be authorised by the appropriate representatives of the agency and client
  • Entries may not be withdrawn once the judging process has commenced and entry fees are non-refundable.

*A seven-day extension will be permitted to Thursday 15 March 2018 for the additional charge of £175 + VAT per entry

How much does it cost to enter?

  • Entry is charged at £279 + VAT (£334.80) per entry. Cheques should be made payable to PMGroup
  • An additional £175 + VAT (£210.00) per entry will be payable for entries received after the closing date of Thursday 8 March 2018
  • Entries from charities/associations/healthcare providers are free of charge
  • Entries into Healthcare Communiquétor are free of charge

How do you ensure confidentiality of work submitted?

You have total control of the information that may be disclosed. Only content within the executive summary (max 200 words) may be published when reporting the finalist entries. If, in exceptional cases, you prefer to disclose only the title of your entry, please make that clear on the entry form together with the details of any visuals that are not suitable for publication. Should this be the case, we will limit coverage relating to your entry.

Each judge is required to sign a legally-binding confidentiality agreement before appointment. PMGroup undertakes to adhere to the same confidentiality agreement.

A maximum of nine judges, with specific responsibility for the category entered, will see entries submitted in the Healthcare Communications Awards Categories.
A team of independent professionals review the entries in all other categories.

Judges review anonymous entries for most categories and details of the entrant will not be disclosed - except Writing Excellence, Excellence in Social Media Strategy, Excellence in Engagement Through Digital Channels, Excellence in Communication Through Creative Execution, Excellence in Corporate Communications, Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility and all Individual, Team and Company awards. For this reason, please only record details of the product and client in the entry itself and use the entry form to record all necessary entrant information. Any entries that include entrant information in the submission will be penalised.

Please indicate on the entry form if you require your entry and supporting materials to be returned to you, or destroyed by PMGroup after the awards presentation.

How are the Communiqué Awards presented?

The Communiqué Awards culminate in a gala black-tie dinner and awards evening on Thursday 28 June 2018 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane. Guests from a wide range of disciplines attend each year to recognise best practice and it has become a true highlight in the industry's calendar.
