#IGiveA from deaths from diarrhoea

Summary of work

RB (Reckitt Benckiser)’s bold ambition is to eliminate diarrhoea in children under five by 2020, partnering with Save the Children to deliver on-the-ground work in three programmatic sites – India, Pakistan and Nigeria – and aligned with the WHO/UNICEF 7-point plan http://www.7pointplan.org/

The brief was to create a unique and impactful campaign that would engage, re-energise and galvanise employees to support the partnership and to instil employee pride, at the same creating external recognition for RB as a world leader in consumer health and CSR.

We devised a provocative creative website – ‘IGiveA.net’ http://www.igivea.net/ – as the campaign hub, building waves of ‘social contagion’ by leveraging internal and external moments.

Activation was cascaded via the leadership team to RB Save the Children ambassadors, providing them with a highly creative toolkit containing a suite of materials to drive country participation. The campaign’s highlight was a ‘replica slum’ event at Corporate HQ coinciding with Universal Children’s Day which built excitement and resulted in a 40% increase in social actions taken on the IGiveA.net website.

Tasked with delivering 1 million actions in 12 months, the campaign generated 212,000 employee ‘actions’ in just 12 weeks and with 7 months still to go stands at 743,000 – 75% of the target.

Strong, compelling, creative and integrated with good results. A true corporate strategy linked to employees. It was participative and bold, simple and disruptive.
