Summary of work

With a rapidly evolving industry and an ever-increasing competitive market place for agencies, proving your worth and standing out from the rest is what it takes for continued growth. Agencies are reliant on their people to be the difference that makes a difference.

Since starting his career in medical education, Miles has been that difference and over the last year has demonstrated that with the right drive, vision and passion you can break with the traditional and change beliefs.

With a vested interest in patients receiving the very best treatment on offer, Miles has made it his mission to ensure physicians have the latest information available to them to enable optimal patient care. Suffering from a chronic disease himself, Miles has turned his experience as a patient into a driver for change. Changing the way industry shares information and changing the way we communicate to physicians so that they can support their patients. Applying consumer approaches to communication and supporting physicians’ access to information using new technologies, Miles has championed new approaches that engage, resonate and genuinely stimulate change.

Judges’ comments

During Miles’ presentation his quirky outlook, self-awareness, steely determination and management style were made clear. He is a true patient advocate, without being a fanatic. He showed a refreshing honesty.
