With continuing challenges facing our industry in the external environment - from confusion around specialised commissioning, to ongoing pressures on healthcare costs - AbbVie’s communications efforts needed to operate in a way that more than ever built advocacy and mobilised patient and wider stakeholder communities to rally behind important issues, like access to treatment and delivering value to the NHS. Our programmes also had to recognise the increasing importance of online and social media as a means for patients to find information and support, so we needed to rethink the way we engaged in order to ensure we were in the right spaces, with information of value, at the right time.
Our aligned communications work stimulated debate, thought leadership, information, support and advocacy to effect positive change for patients and the organisations representing their needs, and successfully inspired and connected employees with our company mission.
