Finalist

Jonathon Sheppard

MHP Communications

Summary of work

Motivation and dedication are vital to supporting progress and success in any field. Only three years into his healthcare communications career, these guiding principles have been adopted and relentlessly driven forward by Jonathon to secure his position as a highly valued and respected Senior Account Manager who has already taken remarkable strides forward and delivered great results for his clients. Commercially astute, Jonathon has made a significant contribution to his company’s bottom line and his evidence-based approach to communications has further strengthened the reputation of the industry and been proven to be effective in driving change in an increasingly fragmented NHS.

Proactively and consistently taking on business-critical responsibilities during a period of change, through hard work and focus Jonathon has carved out his position as a highly valued and committed adviser to his clients and a colleague of great worth already supporting the next generation of healthcare leaders. For someone to have already achieved so much in such a short space of time, and with much more to come, Jonathon is very much the Young Achiever in Healthcare Communications for 2016.

Judges' comments

Jonathon clearly takes a considered, rational and logical approach to work. This, together with excellent all-round abilities and willingness to learn, means he will continue to build an ever-deepening understanding of his clients’ business at the same time as expanding his role with the wider MHP team.
