Longest Mo: Living Longer, Living Stronger Competition

Summary of work

Implementing an internal communications initiative across multiple countries brings with it its own challenges, including:

  • Engaging employees from diverse cultural backgrounds with multiple languages
  • Identifying a suitable platform for a campaign which translates across all markets
  • Maximising employee participation.

This year’s competition saw over 2,000 patriotic-inspired mo photos and videos from 21 countries across the EMEA region enter into the competition. The campaign was successful in increasing awareness of prostate cancer, whilst also engaging with stakeholders to raise vital funds for charity.

The ‘Janssen’s Longest Mo: Living Longer, Living Stronger’ competition was launched across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to raise awareness of the company’s continued commitment to prostate cancer whilst delivering a practical, engaging and creative.

This year’s competition encouraged employees to grow and show their ‘longest Mo’. This could be done by one of two ways:

  • Submitting the most photos with their mo’s connected together, OR
  • The team who involves the highest number of participants connecting their mo’s within one photo.

New to this year was the live leader board, which really helped to drive employee participation and keep the competitive spirits high through the competition!

Judges' comments

The judges thought this was a great campaign to re-energise an old theme. They liked how, in contrast to some other entries, the campaign brought to life what was happening on the ground with tangible examples of engagement in the market. The number of entries was impressive, especially considering the low budget.
