Summary of work
I am determined to drive change in our industry through delivering on the value that communications brings to our clients and the wider industry, as well as my unwavering commitment to my team’s development. Since my early introduction to the healthcare arena in my late teens, to progressing from entry level to leadership at Biosector 2 in six years, I am passionate and self-motivated to evolve my role to exceed both personal and business goals. With a genuine desire to improve patient-centred care, I have worked extensively with patient advocacy groups and increased new business with several new advocacy clients. In 2017, I set myself apart once again through identifying the need for a renewed focus on operational excellence across the PR unit, and I successfully gained endorsement from senior management to establish and lead the company’s first Operations Excellence Committee. The success of this committee has been recognized not only across the Communications Business Line but also more broadly within Syneos Health™, and motivates me to become even more involved in initiatives impacting our 21,000 person organisation and the clients we serve.

Joanne presented an amazing piece of work with a detailed focus on outcomes, describing an excellent operations piece. When challenged, she gave credible answers in a truly authentic, humble manner coupled with a genuine intellectual interest. Her passion was evident and it is very clear that she is people focused. The judges loved the sentiment of “happy teams, happy clients”.
