Summary of work

Every year The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland run their Breast Cancer Campaign featuring the iconic Pink Ribbon during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. But this year there was an added sense of urgency – Coronavirus was causing a decline in breast self-check and breast cancer referrals and the campaign needed to encourage women (and men) to check themselves, seek help and support the Breast Cancer Campaign to ensure the Coronavirus pandemic didn’t turn back the clock on their mission to create a breast cancer free world.
We united women of all communities in the world’s largest online self-check event, sharing self-check best practice and normalising breast care by bringing attention to a diverse range of viewpoints.
The campaign ignited media and social discussion, drove the strongest ever earned coverage and engagement for Estee Lauder Breast Cancer Campaign, achieved a world record event attendance and the UK’s largest live self-check all leaving a behaviour-change legacy of increased self-checking and positive conversation across audiences.

Judges' comments

The Time To Unite campaign was so much of its time, capturing the moment and the opportunity it offered. With a simple, but effective strategy and a flawless execution, including the collaboration of influencers. It delivered excellent results, especially given the low-band budget.
