A Just:: Cause

by Just:: Health Communications

Summary of work

As a leading healthcare communications agency, we are committed to using our professional expertise to support and empower third-sector organisations to deliver powerful campaigns. We have developed a bespoke pro bono offer, A Just:: Cause, to focus on providing charities with what they need to help them reach their goals: strategic communications advice and practical training. A Just:: Cause gives charities a voice and provides them with tools and techniques to support sustainable campaigns. In addition, it demonstrates the value that healthcare communications agencies offer by partnering with patient organisations to create better outcomes for their beneficiaries.

Our initiative comprises four offerings:

  • Just:: Academies Half-day workshops focused on common communications challenges, for individuals across the healthcare charity sector
  • Just:: Invent Half-day campaign planning workshops based on our Just:: Invent Roadmap for one charity
  • Just:: Mentoring Ongoing, one-to-one advice and support from the Just:: Senior Management Team to third-sector Chief Executives
  • Media Trust Partnership Facilitating and delivering bespoke events with Media Trust, the UK’s leading communications charity.

In 2013, 56 third-sector representatives from 52 organisations participated in an A Just:: Cause event, with those attending confirming that they continue to use the skills they gained in planning processes.

Judges comments

A strong, well-organised pro-bono programme with an extended reach to multiple organisations. This is a genuinely engaging project – one of the few that can say they are properly informed by new insight into stakeholder needs.
