In 2013 the Ruder Finn Healthcare team grew faster than in its history, but without sacrificing quality and the team’s sanity. We recruited a new Head of Healthcare and top talent, including senior directors from the ABPI and the Sun newspaper. We won 5 industry awards (including 2 from Communiqué) and were shortlisted for 10 more. We helped to change opinion, deliver game-changing outcomes for our clients in both internal and external communications, and save lives in both the UK and the developing world.

And we’ve achieved all of this without compromising on quality. Our staff and client survey shows a happiness rating of 80% among our team members, and almost 96% among our client contacts.

In short we feel we have excelled in the three key areas of any agency: staff, clients and commercial delivery.

Judges comments

We loved the refreshing honesty in their approach, along with their great energy and enthusiasm. They also managed a highly impressive financial performance, given the size of the team. This is an agency that is driving and shaping thinking, not just delivering what clients think they want. We saw an impressive reawakening of a 65-year-old brand, not to mention very happy clients and very happy staff. Their latest young employee, Jess, embodied the whole culture of the organisation. This team is obviously having lots of Ruder-Fun!
