Summary of work

After the acquisition of Watermeadow in 2012 by UDG Healthcare, we were determined to find true synergies with the parent company and turn these synergies into practical applications for our staff and clients. This has been achieved with great success. 

Our approach to the acquisition has resulted in the retention of all of our clients from 2012 and 95% of our staff, alongside significant growth which includes the addition of five new separate client companies. 

We are now offering our clients greater depth of expertise, our staff better opportunities for development and learning, and through collaborations with its sister companies, unique offerings that not only benefit our clients but the pharmaceutical industry as a whole. Examples include internationally presented research commissioned by Watermeadow, tackling the difficult question of whether industry-sponsored review articles in peer-review journals have credence with readers. 

Watermeadow’s commitment to its staff was recognised at the end of 2013 with the achievement of the Investors in People accreditation. Investors in People is the UK's leading people management standard. The accolade is one of many that supports the company’s founding ethos of ‘excellence in medical communications’.
