Bedrock Healthcare Communications

Summary of work

Inaugurated in October 2010 and launched in March 2011, Bedrock is a very new agency. Bedrock may be young as a company, but its substantial achievements in 2013 are worthy of recognition by the Communiqué judges. Why? Because Bedrock has already proved that a new way of thinking will deliver what clients and their stakeholders need time and time again. Bedrock has a unique approach based on walking in the shoes of the client and this has resulted in a unique strategy called Bedrock Integrated Communications. As 2013 dawned, Bedrock comprised a team of only three permanent employees working for four clients. By the end of the year, the team had grown to nine with the addition of members at all levels in order to resource the growing client list and projects. Bedrock excelled through its focus on developing good internal systems, delivering against clients’ needs, winning new business, already achieving organic growth with existing clients, marketing the agency and developing innovative, industry-leading initiatives such as BSMART and BedrockLIVE. If you haven’t heard of Bedrock yet, you soon will. Not just because the agency is growing, but because it is already setting a new bar for small agencies.

Judges comments

Financial and agency growth is strong, backed by excellent client feedback and 100 per cent staff retention. There is also clear evidence of investing in the agency’s people. Bedrock’s bespoke methodologies are genuine and interesting, and well marketed. They clearly know who they are and where they want to go.
