Summary of work
At JMC, Andrew has excelled consistently, developing an impressive profile both within and outside the consultancy and establishing himself as an authoritative voice on the subject of specialised commissioning. He is a proactive team player with a passion for health policy and has demonstrated through his work with senior policymakers, patient organisations and companies, a gravitas and credibility typically only seen in people with significantly more experience.
His expertise in specialised commissioning, honed through his exemplary work with the Specialised Healthcare Alliance, stood him in good stead for an assignment with NHS England. For two days a week over 6 months he reported directly to James Palmer, Clinical Director for Specialised Services, and became a valued and trusted part of the Medical Directorate team.
Balancing the discrete demands of NHS England life with those of a thriving consultancy was challenging but Andrew continued to contribute fully to consultancy life, leading a number of demanding projects, mentoring newer members of the team and earning a well-deserved promotion to Senior Consultant, in record speed.
We predict great things for Andrew and see him as a worthy winner of the Rising Star Award.
