Lung Cancer Awareness Parliamentary photographic exhibition

Summary of work

Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer. It is devastating for patients, families and carers: it is also a disease that is still stigmatised. Lung cancer mortality rates have a clear association with deprivation, and there is regional variation as it relates to early diagnosis. Both these facts mean that lung cancer outcomes vary greatly for each constituency.

In light of this it was essential that we found a way to promote amongst parliamentarians the importance of early diagnosis of lung cancer as a way of improving survival rates.

Judges comments

This campaign got around the corporate restraints really well: in particular the company found its social media voice without fear – that was fantastic and the supporting materials were great.
