Dupuytren's Disease: It is in your hands

Summary of work

Imagine a life where your hands didn’t function as you needed them to. People living with a progressive hand condition, Dupuytren’s contracture, face difficulties every day as their fingers can become permanently bent towards the palm. Dupuytren’s disease affects 2 million people in the UK, however, awareness is low and it’s often misdiagnosed.

Our high impact disease awareness programme brought to life the day-to-day burden of living with Dupuytren’s. This creative, multiplatform campaign raised awareness of the condition among the public to motivate those suffering to seek help. Results included 69 pieces of coverage and overall campaign reach of nearly 8 million.

Judges comments

This was a good solid campaign with some really nice elements to it. The glove was very innovative and the web resource was simple but effective.
