Psoriasis - Time for Change

by Spink for Leo Laboratories

Summary of work

Psoriasis has a huge impact on a sufferer’s life, creating practical and emotional issues every day, and non-compliance with existing treatments results in many patients suffering in silence. This campaign used innovative and emotive film and video tools to communicate the psychological and physiological impact of psoriasis to both healthcare professionals and patients.

The campaign successfully engaged with its target audience by: creating a call to action, improving awareness and creating behaviour change.

Judges comments

An emotive campaign that integrated online and offline (which is how these things should be done) and had a brilliant, and really engaging, video.

Stakeholder comments

Consultant dermatologist: This campaign has been invaluable in supporting patients with psoriasis. Patients with psoriasis often feel themselves to be invisible (not least to healthcare professionals), so the campaign helped patients enormously to understand that there are many people who struggle with psoriasis and the physical and psychological implications of living with psoriasis.

Head of communications: This programme made the impact that psoriasis can have real, up close and personal in a novel way and the results achieved demonstrated that it was not only 'Time for change' but positive change for patients was indeed delivered.
