Aurora Healthcare Communications


Summary of work

Aurora is an independent, strategic communications agency. 2015 was our 10th anniversary year, and we celebrated our birthday in style. We outperformed against our business plan, delivering above target revenue and good profitability, while retaining above industry levels of staff retention.

Improved patient access to innovation was at the heart of our programmes. Key achievements included You Can. We Did., a patient empowerment programme to help psoriasis patients play a more active role in their care, and prelaunch media outreach to support a breakthrough heart failure drug. The tailored media plan generated 62 print and online articles over the year; reaching more than four million.

We launched Access All Areas, a self-funded initiative focusing on the obstacles facing new medicines and technologies, resulting in us being the only agency invited to contribute to the Office for Life Sciences/ABPI joint stakeholder consultation meetings on the government’s Accelerated Access Review.

Aurora’s philosophy is that a happy team and happy clients equal great work; we seek out like-minded clients and reward our team for their achievements, and go into our next decade continuing to deliver innovative, high-value work that makes a positive difference to patients.
