CML LIFE

by INCYTE with support from Open Health PBC

Summary of work

CML Life has been developed using evidence-based methodology, including an extensive literature review focusing on engagement, adherence and side effect management. Global landscaping of current support services and topics discussed by patients gave a clear indication of unmet need and a blueprint for creating the most valuable and informed PSP possible.

The programme was created after numerous co-creation workshops and extensive discussion with patients, carers, HCPs and the European patient advocacy network, making it clinically useful AND genuinely patient-centric.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Build the most valuable, well researched ecosystem for patients and carers
  • Uncover the real support they value and need
  • Co-create a long-term solution with patients, carers, HCPs and PAGs
  • Satisfy a significant unmet need for psychological support, as an industry first
  • Empower patients and carers to truly take control of their life with CML and improve their QoL.

OUR SOLUTION

A responsive and highly personalised patient and carer digital ecosystem providing 24/7 support:

  • Personalised mindfulness podcasts created by health psychologists
  • An intuitive platform enabling sharing of health data and the ability to track test results
  • Regular QoL questionnaires to gauge well-being and confidence in managing CML
  • Personalised content to meet specific support needs
  • Guides to improve healthcare and patient communication.

Judges' comments

CML Life is ambitious in scope with an incredible build of users. It is realistic, well researched and thought out with an understanding of its limitations and a plan to develop further.
