Criteria

This category provides the opportunity to look at operational effectiveness, strategy and integration within either a European, global or domestic team. Entries were invited from any team that demonstrated cross-functionality and did not necessarily have to be from a permanent department.

In particular the judges were looking to see how the team came together to build the marketing plan; how problems were solved; how the team affected the results and what the team did in the face of adversity? Overall, they were looking for entries that made them think, "I really want to be part of this team!"

Overview

Astellas had set an aspirational goal for Vesicare to push the boundaries of performance. The team was created to keep this common goal at the forefront of everything they did; driving brand performance and putting the right initiatives in place to make Vesicare a true market leader. They led by example across the company, changing behaviours and mindsets to do things differently with a focused and results-orientated approach and delivered beyond previous expectations.

"This excellent team impressed us with the way that they evolved, dramatically changing the cultural approach, thinking, and beliefs that had been limiting success.
