Leela Barham

Leela Barham is an independent health economist and policy expert who has worked with all stakeholders across health care system, both in the UK and internationally, on the economics of the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years. Leela has an MSc in Health Economics from York University and a BSc Economics from Nottingham University. Leela worked for seven years in a London based economics consultancy, NERA Economic Consulting, before going freelance. Leela is currently a tutor for the Applied Health Economics Diploma and MSc at the University of South Wales, as well as a keen writer and blogger, alongside her freelance work. Leela's work has ranged from supporting companies on specific products through to working on cross-industry issues, for example, Leela worked as an advisor to the Department of health and Social Care on the 2019 Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing and Access (VPAS).
