Pharmaceutical Marketing Excellence Awards 2010


A PMEA is acknowledged throughout the European pharmaceutical and life science industries as the "one to win". Why? Because PMEA is the only Awards scheme to encourage, recognise and reward true marketing excellence; effectiveness achieved in the reality of an ever more challenging marketplace together with the quality of marketing that enhances the reputation of the industry with stakeholders. The Awards also champion marketing innovation, best practice, true integration, and responsible marketing practice that delivers mutually beneficial and clearly identifiable benefits for stakeholders.

Categories are hotly contested and every year an independent panel of judges comprising internationally recognised academics, management consultants and industry thought-leaders review the submissions and decide who will take home the prestigious pyramids, which are proudly displayed in company receptions throughout the UK and Europe.

The PMEA scheme also aims to provide an environment where the talent, as individuals and teams in companies, large and small, can be recognised for the work that they do both for their marketing skills and for their facilitation of better outcomes and improved healthcare.

We, as organisers, and the judges, are committed to ensuring that the Awards develop year on year in line with current thinking and that they remain relevant and challenging.


Aims of PMEA

  • To encourage best marketing practice and innovation in the pharmaceutical and life science industries, in accordance with their Codes of Practice
  • To recognise the value of responsible and fully integrated pharmaceutical marketing in appropriately delivering mutually beneficial and clearly identifiable benefits, for the company and for stakeholders
  • To reward excellence in work undertaken with stakeholders, together with marketing programmes that facilitate improvements in patient care and outcomes through education on management of disease and/or improved access to medicines
  • To recognise and celebrate the talent that enhance the reputation of and trust in the pharmaceutical and life science industry through its marketing
  • To create an environment where success is accepted and valued


Confidentiality
Your work will be treated with the utmost sensitivity; every judge signs a legally binding confidentiality agreement. Following the Awards presentation, submitted materials will be returned to you or destroyed. Should you be successful, only extracts from your executive summary will be used for publication in the special awards brochure.
