MHP's health division has appointed five new members to its team in response to the NHS reforms and strong agency growth in 2010 and 2011.
Stephanie Bell joins as associate director from Weber Shandwick along with Isabel Arthur, as an account manager, from the MS Society. Three consultants are also joining the team: Nicola Jacobs from the National Aids Trust, Michael Speer from Breast Cancer Campaign and Sarah Dooly from Citigate Dewe Rogerson. The new recruits will be based in MHP's London offices.
MHP Health MD Mike Birtwistle said the appointments were a response to the NHS shake-ups and supported by 'exceptional' growth at the agency in the past year, according to PR Week.
He said: “With the NHS in the middle of the most significant reforms in its history, clients more than ever need high quality, policy-driven comms support.”
Bell commented on her move, by saying: “From access to cancer drugs, to important public health issues such as screening and tackling infectious diseases, I am looking forward to advising MHP's wide range of charity, NHS and commercial clients.”
