Quality of life (QOL)

Important aspects of a patient's well-being that contribute to the physical, social and emotional condition of an individual. Quality of life should not be mistaken for the concept of standard of living, which is founded foremost on economics. The general indicators for Quality of Life are based upon, not only wealth and employment, but environment, physical and mental health, education, leisure time, and social tendencies.
