Communiqué Awards 2019 podcast

What the judges are looking for: Excellence in Communications through Creative Execution category

A podcast for anybody interested in healthcare communications – and especially for any agency or client looking to enter this year’s Communiqué Awards.

We’ve brought together three of this year’s judges from one of the award’s newest categories - Excellence in Communication through Creative Execution.

In the podcast, they explain what they’re looking for in entries for this category, and discuss the bigger question of how to marry creativity with a campaign’s strategic objective.

Facilitated by Andrew McConaghie, Group Editor, Pharma Market Europe (PME) the podcast features:

  • Andrew Binns – Director, Havas Lynx
  • Fiona Hammond – Managing Director, Hamell
  • Stuart Mayell – Consultant Creative Director, independent

After launching the category in 2018, the Communiqué judges felt that lots of clients and agencies still want further clarification about what this award is really trying to achieve – and indeed how to square this circle and be creative and strategically excellent at the same time.

Some themes addressed in the podcast:

  • Why it’s important for the Communiqué Awards to have an Excellence in Communications through Creative Execution category
  • How should creativity be judged and measured
  • How clients and agencies can get better at combining strategic goals and creativity
  • What does an award winning campaign in this category look like?
