Cambridge, UK-based Abcam has appointed Gavin Wood as its new chief financial officer.
Wood will succeed Jeff Illiffe from 18 July, taking on the role permanently and joining the firm’s executive board from 12 September.
He joins Abcam from Affymetrix, where he held a number of senior leadership roles including finance and international controller and, most recently, executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Prior to this Wood worked at the Unipart Group, a logistics and consultancy company, serving as its business unit controller and business process manager, among other roles.
