Portland Health appoints new associate director Matt Worrall

He joins as the London health comms agency celebrates its first anniversary

Portland, Matt Worrall

Matt Worrall will tomorrow join Portland Health as an associate director, moving to the agency from Hanover, where he worked with a range of pharma and NHS clients.

Before joining Hanover, Worrall was head of communications at the Royal College of Surgeons and he has also worked for the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), focusing on media campaigns, stakeholder relations and crisis communications.

At London-based Portland Worrall will help manage the health team and will line manage three posts.

Louise Fish, head of health, told PMLiVE: “We are delighted that Matt is bringing his expertise to the team, and with more sector knowledge and capacity, I am sure that Portland Health will continue to flourish and deliver positive results for our clients.

“Portland Health continues to go from strength to strength. It’s an exciting time for us with our integrated public relations and public affairs offering making the most of the team’s extensive experience.”

Portland has also recently hired account executives Rebecca Rollinson and Alice Beard and a new account manager will join mid-April, Fish told PMLiVE.

The agency also marked its first anniversary by bringing its health client list to 12 after recently winning the ABPI Pharmaceutical Diabetes Initiative, for which it will deliver a strategic public affairs campaign designed to drive improved diagnosis and management of people with diabetes.
