Astellas has promoted Brian McLellan to president of Astellas Pharma Technologies in the Americas region.
In his new role McLellan will be responsible for managing all operations at the division’s facilities in Oklahoma, US, and will report to Scott Aladeen, head of the US technology division.
The move is a promotion for McLellan who was formerly VP of technology and operations at Astellas Pharma Technologies.
He is a veteran of Astellas having joined Yamanouchi – one of Astellas’ two founding companies – in 1997. Since then, he has held roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of manufacturing and technology.
Aladeen commented: “Brian has had great success throughout his career at Astellas and his strong leadership skills and experience in the industry will prove to be an asset to the team.”
