Biotechnology company Biogen has appointed Jeff Capello as its executive vice president and chief financial officer, roles which will see him lead the company’s business planning, tax, treasury, internal audit, accounting and investor relations functions.
Reporting to chief executive officer of Biogen, Michel Vounatsos, Capello will also become a member of the executive committee and he will be based in its Massachusetts office in the US.
He said: “I am very excited to join Biogen, a company which is recognised as a pioneer and a leader in treating neurological diseases and I look forward to working with colleagues around the world in our mission to make a difference in the lives of patients.”
Capello brings 26 years of experience in finance to Biogen, with his most recent role being executive vice president and chief financial officer at Beacon Health Options.
His career experience has seen him serve in various positions for Monomy Advisors, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Boston Scientific Corporation and Perkin Elmer.
