Chameleon reveals new leadership line-up

CEO Hobbs steps down and passes reins on to president, US operations

Now in its twentieth year, Chameleon Communications has revealed that company chief executive officer Gary Hobbs (pictured below) will be stepping down, as he moves into the role of group chairman.

Building on his 17-year-stint with the agency, Hobbs’ new role will be more of an advisory one, providing strategic and business counsel to the new line-up.

Leading the company will be Bill Mulligan (pictured below), as he steps up from his previous role of president of US operations.

He becomes Group CEO, and will assume responsibility for the Chameleon Group worldwide, effective immediately.

Hobbs said: “It’s immensely reassuring to hand over the operational reins to Bill with such confidence as I know Bill and our outstanding leadership team will take Chameleon to the next level.”

Mulligan has a rich history with the company. He has spent 13 years growing Chameleon US from a New York start-up into an agency with operations in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles.

He will report into Matt D’Auria, chief executive of Chameleon’s parent company Healthcare Consultancy Group.

Meanwhile, Stephen Marchant, former president of Chameleon Europe, has been appointed to the newly created role of president, group strategy and growth.

The company’s US executive vice president of commercial development, Guy Slatcher now moves into the role of president, Chameleon US.

D’Auria said: “These moves are designed to facilitate the continuing growth and development of the Chameleon Group, which includes the digital agency Entwine, and allow the continued scientific and strategic excellence that the Group has built its reputation on to flourish.”
