Edelman has appointed Camilla Horwood as head of health public affairs, a newly created role with a UK focus.
She will be charged with developing and marketing the agency’s new health public affairs capabilities, while also providing UK health policy, market access and strategic political advice to Edelman’s current EMEA and global client base.
With 10 years’ public affairs and strategic communications experience, gained both in-house and within agencies, Horwood has provided senior political counsel and issue management advice to a range of organisations at CEO and board level.
“This [appointment] puts us in a very strong position to serve both existing and new clients as they navigate challenging market access issues and the ever changing health policy environment created by government health reforms,” said Steve Spurr, COO, Edelman.
Prior to joining Edelman, Horwood was associate director/head of health at Portcullis Public Affairs.
