She is a trained pharmacist and has played a key role in several projects since her appointment, including a virtual reality project that takes users inside the human heart.

Goodband, who was appointed as a strategic planner in January 2014, has been promoted to the role of senior strategic planner.

He has been delivering pitches and proposals since starting at the agency and previously worked as a medical writer at Sanofi Pasteur MSD.

Allen (pictured) has been appointed as account executive, having recently graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in human biosciences.

Chris Edmonds, managing director of emotive, told PMLiVE: “I’m delighted to welcome Lucy to the team at a time of continued growth for emotive.

She was an outstanding candidate with exactly the right blend of science and service skills we look for.

“2014 was an incredible year for the team, delivering many highly effective and impactful projects for our clients and picking up over 10 important awards throughout the year. Adam and Anjani played a key role in delivering this success for our clients and their promotions are well deserved.”
