GCI Health promotes Becky Lauer

She becomes executive VP
GCI Health, Becky Lauer

The healthcare public relations agency GCI Health has promoted head of media relations Becky Lauer to an executive VP position.

In her new role Lauer will continue to oversee GCI Health's media department and will expand her team in traditional and digital media.

She has been involved in the media industry for 35 years, 20 of which were spent as producer for CBS news.

On leaving this role 15 years ago Lauer entered the agency world developing relationships in the media and helping to gain coverage for clients in leading publications.

GCI Health's CEO Wendy Lund said: “Media is at the heart of our profession and I have had the great fortune of working with Becky for almost 15 years. She literally knows the media in a way that few others do, and knows how to provide reporters with exactly what they want in order to get a story told.”

Lauer added: “I have an incredibly hard working, well-respected, creative and deeply passionate team that understands exactly what the media wants and needs and how to stand out in the overcrowded, dynamic healthcare industry. We strive to help our clients conceptualise communication strategies that push their brands into new media in order to reach a variety of audiences.”
