Havas appoints Ben Davies as European CEO

Havas Worldwide Health has appointed Ben Davies as the new CEO of its European division

Havas European CEO Ben DaviesHavas has announced the appointment of the former CEO of Pan Advertising as their new CEO of its Eurovision division.

Davies officially starts at Havas on September 3, when he takes over from Ed Stapor, who will continue at the agency until the end of the year and then take up a new role within the wider Havas network.

Davies has 26 years experience in healthcare marketing and advertising, latterly serving not just at Pan but also as co-founder and EU chair of Indigenus, the independent global network to which Pan belonged.

In his new role Davies will report to New York–based Havas Worldwide Health managing partners and CEOs Doug Burcin and Donna Murphy.

Commenting on the appointment, Burcin said: “We are very excited to welcome Ben to our team. His background in healthcare marketing and advertising is impressive and will be a tremendous contribution to our continued success in Europe.

“Ed's done a great job in this role and we have full confidence that under Ben's leadership, we will continue to grow and innovate in Europe.”

The agency has already boosted its UK operations this summer, acquiring Manchester-based digital agency Creative Lynx and appointing Davies' former colleague at Pan Claire Dobbs as managing director for its London office.
