David Hunt appointed CEO at the global health and wellness agency

David Hunt, CEO HAVAS LYNXAmongst several management changes and two new hires, Havas Lynx has announced that David Hunt is to become its CEO.

Hunt has been with Havas Lynx for 15 years and established the agency's multi-award-winning digital team. He was promoted to the senior management team at the age of 25, having been sponsored by Lynx through his design degree at Brunel.

Neil Martin, who the agency credits for having positioned it as Europe's leading digital health and wellness agency, takes the role of commercial director, having previously overseen the agency trebling in size over the previous five years.

Steve Nicholas and David Whittingham complete the new core team as managing partners, taking responsibility for medical, strategic and creative excellence.

The changes mark the one-year anniversary of Lynxjoining Havas Health.

“It's been a great first 12 months and with the new senior structure the team will continue to develop a unified offering,” said Ben Davies, European CEO, Havas Health. “We have aligned their passion, innovation and vision with industry-leading strategy and insight to ensure our clients get to the future first.”

“We've hugely benefited from the support, infrastructure and global footprint of Havas Health, which is providing the foundation for our future ambitions. Dave's appointment as CEO demonstrates our commitment to changing faster and not just meeting, but shaping the future of health and wellness communications,” commented Neil Martin.

“We've amazing people, doing amazing things, creating a platform for new initiatives and new ideas. Over the coming months we are set to launch new services and products that combine clinical and digital excellence, as we continue to pioneer the agency experience. We are committed to delivering a complete, exceptional service to all our clients,” added David Hunt.

In addition to the internal moves, Havas Lynx has made two new hires: Dr Nick Broughton joins as medical director and Gary Monk as director of strategy and innovation.

A former GP, Broughton has worked for global pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca, MSD and GSK gaining experience in director roles in medical and regulatory affairs in UK and Europe.

Before becoming the UK managing director of Across Health, Monk was product manager at Janssen Cilag, during which time he won a stream of industry awards (primarily with digital focus) including the PM Society 2010 Digital Pioneer award. In 2009 he was a triple award winner in the PM Society Digital Awards and the same year received the PharmaTimes Marketer of the Year award.

Comprised of what was formerly known as Euro RSCG Life 4D and Creative Lynx, Havas Lynx has offices in New York, Manchester and London and is a member of the Havas Health global network, which also includes Health4BRands (H4B).
