Manchester-based Havas Lynx has made three new appointments to its creative team.

Paul Kinsella, Louise Shipley and Phil Howells all join as creative directors and the trio will report directly to chief creative officer Tom Richards.

Richards said: “Our new appointments are evidence of a new and radical direction for healthcare. I’m excited to produce some life changing campaigns that will be born from some of the best scientific, strategic and creative minds in the business.”

Kinsella joins Havas Lynx from BJL where he served as senior creative, art director from May 2012 to August 2015.

He has over 13 years of experience in the advertising industry and prior to BJL, held the roles of copywriter and then art director at Cheetham Bell.

Shipley brings over 19 years of conceptual copywriting expertise to the creative director role. She has worked as a copywriter for several integrated advertising agencies, including McCann, Ogilvy, Rapier and Tequila TBWA.

Most recently, Shipley served as copywriter, creative director at BJL where she worked with a range of clients, including Asda, Children in Need and Hilton.

Meanwhile, with over 30 years experience in advertising, Howells also joins the Havas Lynx’s creative team.

Howells has held senior creative and consultancy roles for several advertising agencies, including Grey London, The Hub Communications and Still Price Lintas, where he spearheaded the ‘It’s a bit of an animal’ campaign for Peperami.

The three creative directors are tasked with overseeing the delivery of high-calibre campaigns and realising the agency’s ambition to set a new creative standard for the healthcare industry.

Howells said: “I’ve already been lucky enough to work with Havas Lynx on a freelance basis. I like their hunger, passion and ambition and I’m particularly impressed with the way they treat their people.

“Being part of Tom’s vision to raise the creative bar, not only within Havas Lynx but across the sector, has reignited my passion to do great work and also to inspire it.”
