Global agency network Huntsworth Health has promoted two of its senior executives, appointing Maryellen Royle as chief executive officer of Tonic Life Communications and Jon Clark as chief executive officer of nitrogen.
Royle (pictured right) joined US-based Tonic Life Communications in 2009 as president of its North America operations, and will now take on responsibility for integrating and expanding the agency on a global scale.
Prior to this, she served in an executive management role at another of the Huntworth Health network's companies, Dorland Global Corporation.
Originally joining as account support in 1992, Royle held a number of increasingly senior positions at the agency before her move to Tonic.
Huntsworth Health global chief executive Neil Matheson said: “Maryellen is a consummate professional who understands how to meet our clients' needs in a rapidly changing healthcare communications world.
“I am very proud to have Maryellen on our global executive team and I know that our expansive network of clients will be excited to have her leading their global communications programmes.”
Meanwhile, Clark (pictured left) becomes global chief executive of nitrogen, having founded its London branch in 2008.
Clark has served as the agency's European divisional director and, most recently, as its managing director.
He also brings prior experience with Huntsworth Health, PBC Group and Root Research to the role.
Matheson said: “Jon has built an amazing team in London and I know he will attract the same level of quality talent in New York.
“Jon has a passion for bringing actionable insights to our clients so that we can communicate the true value of their brands through highly creative and emotionally-engaging campaigns.”
