HealthSTAR Communications has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Joe Tardibuono as executive vice president.
He joins the US agency from FCB Health’s Hudson Global company, where he was head of business development and a member of its executive management team for the past 11 years.
Prior to that he spent five years at pharma company Forest Laboratories, latterly as specialty divisional manager.
New Jersey-based HealthSTAR is made up of a fully integrated network of companies that include Centron Advertising, Centron Market Access, HealthSTAR Meetings and Events, and HealthSTAR Medical Education.
“I’m thrilled to be joining HealthSTAR,” Tardibuono said. “Even though it’s a large organisation and an industry powerhouse with more than $1.5bn in revenue since inception in 2001, the company ‘gets it’ and is still able to take a ‘clients first’ approach.”
In his new role at the firm Tardibuono will be charged with creating a new business unit focused on promotional medical communications and report to HealthSTAR’s CEO Chris Sweeney.
