Kirsty Mearns has left her senior role at inVentiv Health to join rival communications agency Just:: Health Communications as managing director.
Mearns (pictured right) had only been in her role as medical education consultant at inVentiv Health’s medical education business Litmus for a year having joined from Publicis Life Brands Resolute (PLBR) at the beginning of 2013.
She was a director at PLBR having previously served as a director at Resolute Communications, which was acquired in 2010 by Publicis Healthcare Communications Group to form PLBR.
In her new role as managing director at Just:: Mearns will lead a team of five directors as well as heading the agency’s medical education activities, which accounts for 20 per cent of the company’s business.
Mearns said: “With the strength of the senior management team we are well positioned to build on the successes of 2013 and expand across all segments of the business.”
Meanwhile, Just:: has promoted Jon Spiers, who currently leads the agency’s political relations team, to director.
He joins agency’s other directors Laura Chambers, Julia Kirby, Jo Hewitt and Catherine Barnett, who has a focus on global stakeholder engagement and was recently hired from Edelman.
