Stephen Dorrell (pictured right) served as an MP for 36 years and during that time worked as a minister in the Treasury, the Department of National Heritage, and the Department of Health.

Between 1995 and 1997, Dorrell was the Secretary of State for Health, and became the first elected chair of the House of Commons Health Committee in 2010.

He currently serves as chair of the NHS Confederation and is a senior advisor to KPMG on global health and public sector practice.

LaingBuisson Henry ElphickPrior to this Elphick held management roles at Rothschild and UBS, as well as working as a lawyer with Linklaters in its London, New York and Washington offices.

Elphick said: “LaingBuisson is already a trusted advisor to its clients and plays a major role in the UK's healthcare sector as the definitive source of market information and data.

“With the appointment of Stephen as chairman and myself as chief executive officer, our immediate focus will be to continue acting as close advisors to our clients.

“However, in these changeable times, we believe there is further potential for adapting and broadening our offering of products and services to help our clients better understand the complex challenges and opportunities of the market today.

“We are looking forward to working with William Laing as an ongoing director, the rest of the board and the team at LaingBuisson.”
