McCann Complete Medical appoints US lead

Leo Francis joins from Publicis Healthcare Communications Group

McCann Complete Medical US has appointed Dr Leo Francis as executive vice president, based in New Jersey.

He joins the agency from Publicis Healthcare Communications Group, where he was most recently president of Publicis Medical Education Group.

Previously, Francis has been president at Adelphi Eden Health Communications, managing director for OCC Europe and business unit manager at Gardiner-Caldwell Communications.

In his new role, he will be working to expand the agency's US domestic medical communications capabilities and business, while reporting to McCann Complete Medical's CEO Charlie Buckwell.

"This is a very exciting step for us, Leo brings an extraordinary ability to create meaningful and valued relationships with clients and colleagues alike," said Buckwell.

He added: "Leo brings a collaborative and visionary style of business leadership, which will help us to build new horizons in medical communications, creating value for both clients and patients alike, through the power of evidence."
