MRC Technology names finance director

Andrew Mercieca took up the role on April 1

edit-MRC-Technology-andrew-merciecaIndependent life science medical research charity MRC Technology has named Andrew Mercieca as its finance director.

Mercieca joined the company as interim finance director in August 2014, bringing with him a wealth of senior international finance experience at technology and pharma companies.

Commenting on his appointment, Mercieca said: “MRC Technology has an impressive track record of connecting promising research with industry to ensure it fulfils its potential and making treatments available to patients, and I am very pleased to be supporting these efforts.”

Mercieca has held numerous roles at firms including Syniverse Technologies, Astellas and Merck Serono, most recently acting as a finance trustee as charity Plan Zheroes.

Dave Tapolczay, CEO at MRC Technology, added: “Andrew has been a great asset to the executive team and the business since he joined last summer.

“MRC Technology is increasing its global partnerships and Andrew's EMEA, Asia and USA experience is a valued contribution to our drive to improve health through science across the world.”
