UK and US-based NanoValent Pharmaceuticals has promoted Mark Lewis to chief operating officer.
Lewis brings over 30 years of international commercial and operations expertise - gained primarily in the area of oncology - to the role, and first joined the early-stage oncology group in 2015.
He has worked at a number of pharmaceutical firms including Amersham International (now GE), Chiron (now Novartis) and Farmitalia (now Pfizer).
In addition to his pharmaceutical experience, Lewis also spent 10 years as a management consultant, working at Hill & Knowlton and Quintiles.
Most recently, Lewis served as managing director for Europe at SuperGen (now Otsuka Pharmaceutical) between 2006 and 2010, and was senior vice president of Ascalon Inc from 2010 until 2012.
