New hires at Ashfield, Hamell and Springer Healthcare

Richard Clarke

Joining the leadership team at Ashfield is Richard Clarke (pictured above), who has been appointed as commercial and patient solutions business development director.

“I strongly believe that Richard will fit in well with our organisation and will share the same values and high standards in exceeding our clients’ expectations. His industry expertise will be invaluable as he guides the future direction for the transforming UK business,” said Mick O’Leary, regional president for Ashfield Commercial and Patient Solutions.

Clarke has over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having held roles within GSK and AstraZeneca. This includes holding the positions of head of global SFE and UK head of commercial learning and development.

“I am delighted to be joining at this exciting time for the UK business, and to be part of the Ashfield team,” Clarke commented.



Marc Greener

Marc Greener (pictured above) has joined Hamell as its new creative director. The behaviour-led communications company also recently hired Frank Walters as executive creative director.

Greener and Walters both originally worked at Paling Walters before going on to build copy departments at both Saatchi and Saatchi Health, as well as McCann Health.

“With his track record of converting complex brand propositions into multi-award-winning campaigns, Marc has what it takes to elevate the execution of Hamell’s evidence-based strategic approach to a whole new creative level. I’m absolutely delighted,” said Fiona Hammond, managing director of Hamell.

Springer Healthcare 


Simon Mitchelson and Anna Bartus

Springer Healthcare has welcomed two new additions – Anna Bartus and Simon Mitchelson (pictured above) – to its team.

Anna Bartus has been appointed as an associate medical director, where she will strengthen the scientific expertise of the services team.

She is a fully qualified medical doctor, and has six years’ experience working with the pharmaceutical industry, medical communications agencies and the NHS.

Also joining Springer Healthcare is Simon Mitchelson, who has been appointed as a senior business development manager. He will consult with industry clients across medical education and medical communications as well as sales force training and MSL support.

Mitchelson has over 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, and has held roles at MSD, Langland and Havas Lynx.
