Pfizer has named company veteran Peter Albiez as head of its operations in Germany.
Albiez succeeds Andreas Penk who moves to head the company’s oncology division across the EMEA and APAC regions after eight years in Germany.
The appointment is a promotion for Albiez who was spent that past six years as head of primary care for Pfizer in Germany.
He is a veteran of the company having joined in 1996 as a pharmaceutical consultant immediately after graduating from university with a biology degree. Albiez then worked his up the ranks in Germany including a spell as head of the company’s sales organisation in the country.
