Purdue Pharma has appointed Dr Craig Landau as its new chief executive officer and president, roles that will see him be responsible for the firm’s US operations and retain responsibility for Purdue’s Canadian operations.
Landau first joined the Connecticut, US-based firm as president and CEO of Purdue Pharma Canada, he's spent the last three years diversifying and stabilising the business through a number of strategic business development deals.
He said: "I am honoured to be leading these organisations at such an exciting time.
"I look forward to building on Purdue’s rich history and working with my talented colleagues as we continue to broaden our portfolio and innovate to support healthcare professionals and serve patient needs.”
He succeeds Mark Timey who leaves Purdue Pharma to “pursue other career opportunities”.
