Zeno Group appoints new UK healthcare director

Rachel Vrettos has led accounts for clients including Astellas, Bayer, GSK and Sanofi

Zeno-Group,-Rachel-VrettosThe London arm of PR agency Zeno Group has appointed Rachel Vrettos as the director of healthcare for its UK operations.

The agency expanded into Europe last year, with London acting as its regional hub. The appointment of Vrettos, it said, was a continuation of its plan to develop a progressive healthcare practice across the region, focusing on global clients in ethical healthcare markets.

Vrettos has more than ten years experiences in the pharmaceutical and consumer health sectors, having developed PR campaigns for clients including Astellas, Bayer Schering, Galderma, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), and Sanofi Pasteur MSD.

Over the course of her career, she has worked for Harvard Health, spent eight years with Red Door Communications, and has also been an executive committee member of the Medical Journalists' Association (MJA). During this time, she has gain experience covering therapy areas including allergy, cardiology, dental, diabetes, nutrition, skincare, smoking cessation, urology, vaccines, weight loss and wound care.

"Rachel is a massive capture for Zeno. She has that rare blend of expertise and a proven track record across both consumer and ethical healthcare. She excels equally at both," said Steve Earl, managing director, Zeno Europe.

"Rachel will not only be a strong healthcare leader for us but a big asset for clients. She brings consumer thinking to the brand communication challenges of the pharmaceutical sector and the global perspective of ethical programmes to sensitive consumer issues. Plus she is fearless about bringing fresh perspectives to the opportunities that a fast-changing communications and media landscape brings," he said.
