Bayer Healthcare, Chiesi and Eli Lilly and Company have been called out for breaches of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry's Code of Practice, while Bayer Schering Pharma has been publicly reprimanded

Bayer Healthcare, Chiesi and Eli Lilly and Company have been named in advertisements for breaches of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry's (ABPI) Code of Practice, while Bayer Schering Pharma has been publicly reprimanded.

Bayer Healthcare, Chiesi, Eli Lilly were found to have breached Clause 2 of the ABPI Code of Practice - administered by the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) - bringing discredit upon, and reducing confidence in, the pharmaceutical industry.

Meanwhile Bayer Schering Pharma has been reprimanded for failing to include prescribing information.

The breaches will be highlighted in advertisements in the medical, pharmaceutical and nursing press.

The PMCPA May Code of Practice Review (PDF) has further information on the breaches of the Code.
