Ashfield and Sanofi scoop ICE award

Company wins the Most Effective Agency Collaboration Award for the second year running

AshfieldFor the second year in a row, Ashfield Meetings and Events were victorious at the International Corporate Event (ICE) Awards held at the Design Museum in London.

Open exclusively to in-house corporate event planners, the ceremony saw big-name brands take the stage, including the likes of Herbalife Nutrition, Barclays and RBS.

Winning the Most Effective Agency Collaboration accolade however was Ashfield Meetings & Events, which scooped the award for its work for Sanofi UK, a company away day for the pharma company.

‘SanofiFEST’ saw 700 delegates arrive at the Beaumont Estate in Windsor to listen to senior leaders talk about the future direction of the company and partake in team building exercises.

Lorraine Lawrence, Sanofi’s Meetings and Events Executive, said: “We collaborated with Ashfield Meetings & Events to deliver our company day, and they provided full service project management, including creative, content, production and logistics support.

“This was a true partnership and the result was a unique event that will resonate with our staff for the foreseeable future.”

The ICE judges said they won the award due to the group’s “excellent submission standard that was consistent throughout”, while noting the “amazing ROI statistics and impactful content”.

Adrian Evans, director of conference and live events for The NEC, who both judged and sponsored the entry, said: “They quoted both the passion that drove them forward, but also made clear reference to the requirement for a ‘legacy.’

“This was obviously not just a single event but there was a need for a lasting impression, reaching long after the conference.”

The UDG Healthcare company won the same award last year for its work with German pharma group Bayer, which judges said demonstrated a “best practice example of how to approach agency relationships to ensure successful results”.
