AXON appoints new US MD

AXON has extended its operations in the US market with the appointment of Mario Nacinovich as managing director

Specialist healthcare consulting firm and the international healthcare operation of National Public Relations, AXON, has extended its operations in the US market with the appointment of Mario Nacinovich as managing director of AXON US. Nacinovich will be based in New York and will report to Ralph Sutton, AXON's managing partner based in London.  

Prior to joining AXON, Nacinovich was vice president of strategic planning and business development at Connecticut-based medical education firm QD Healthcare Group. After beginning his career at Merck & Co and serving in various sales and marketing roles in the division of US Human Health (USHH), he moved through the ranks to hold a number of senior positions including chief growth officer for Caudex Medical, co-CEO and co-founder of Fission Communications, part of Regan Campbell Ward - McCann of McCann Healthcare Worldwide, and vice president of strategic planning, director of business development and vice president of ophthalmology at Ventiv Health.

Nacinovich is also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Communication in Healthcare, is on the editorial board of the Journal of Management and Marketing in Healthcare, and leads several online healthcare groups on LinkedIn. He has led previous agencies to numerous creative awards and was personally recognised as one of the PharmaVoice 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life-Sciences Industry in 2005.
